A Two Day Destination Wedding in the Hills
Sonakshi and Piyush‘s story began in high school, when they were young and had no idea where life would take them. Years later, their careers took them to different cities and their relationship became a long distance one. They stayed together through those years, and eventually found their way to London, where they could finally build a life in the same place.
When it came to their wedding, they wanted to take that journey somewhere meaningful. The hills of Parwanoo became the setting for their two day destination wedding at Moksha, just a short drive from Chandigarh. Planned and executed by Weddings by Tycoon, the celebration brought together their families and friends across four beautiful events.
The wedding ceremony was the most beautiful chapter of the celebration. Set outdoors against the mountains, the ceremony had an openness and calmness that made every moment feel personal. Sonakshi walked towards Piyush to Tere Liye, her favourite song, while her bridesmaids carried the notes that would eventually lead into her entrance. As the dupatta was lifted, the bride was revealed, and she began her walk down the aisle towards the man she had known and loved since school.
She wore red, while Piyush chose ivory, a combination that looked striking against the natural colours of the mountains. Their Varmala followed in the same beautiful setting, surrounded by their closest people and the landscape that had brought everyone together. The pheras were held outdoors as well, beneath the open sky and against the hills, giving the ceremony a sense of intimacy despite the grandeur of the setting.
The rest of the celebration unfolded across Mehendi, Sangeet, the wedding, reception and after party, each bringing its own energy to the two day destination wedding. But the wedding ceremony remained particularly special because it brought together so many pieces of their story: a childhood beginning, years of distance, a life built together in London, and finally, the moment when they stood beside each other and made it official.
